At Aberdeen Elementary School, we are moving towards communicating with parents and guardians using 21st century technology. Instead of sending out monthly newsletters using paper, we will be using the website blog, upcoming events, and announcement page to keep parents informed about what is happening at the school as well as updating newsletters on the website. If you would like to download the abbyschools app and subscribe to the Aberdeen page, it will let you know when new announcements, events, and blogs have been posted. There will be no need to have to wait for the end of each month for an update on what students are working on at school. The website will be updated to allow for parents to keep up to date with new things happening at the school.

An added bonus is that the website can be translated into multiple languages for families that are more comfortable using another language. Please visit the website and download the Abbyschools app to help us build a positive communication tool between home and school.

Mr. Rossi will also be using School Connect (emailing system) to communicate with families. This allows families to receive information in email form. These emails will be sent out bi weekly (on average). If you ever have any questions about what is happening at the school, please phone or email to let us know.

Many of the teachers at Aberdeen also use a program called "SeeSaw". This is an online portfolio where students and staff can capture some of the great things that are occuring in the classroom. Each child has their own personal SeeSaw account where parents can login to see their child(ren)'s updates. This is a fantastic way of communicating with our families at Aberdeen and allows you to have a closer look at all the great things that happen in the classroom.
